GTS Solutions and Swiss security specialist firm Lucy have partnered to offer free cyber security training for the millions of people who are now working remotely in the UK as a direct result of coronavirus.
Scottish publication The National said the two firms are rolling out an online course as an emergency response to the pandemic.
With many businesses in the UK being forced to work from home in a bid to contain the spread of Covid-19, there is a danger that cyberattacks could increase.Already, malicious actors have attempted to breach the World Health Organisation and hackers have targeted network operators.
Edinburgh-based GTS is aiming to empower remote workers with security knowledge via online courses. These are designed to educate people on safer ways to work from home and will include interactive quizzes, advice videos and questionnaires. "Lucy is a brand that is known internationally and being an official partner gives us the opportunity to export to our desired market across a number of countries," said GTS chief executive Chris Thewlis.
