The partnership aims to help the UK’s education and research institutions safeguard sensitive data against emerging cyber threats while laying a secure foundation for collaboration and innovation.
Through Jisc’s established procurement framework, member institutions can now access DigiCert’s advanced digital trust solutions without undergoing individual procurement processes. This framework, which complies with UK public procurement laws, includes a pre-vetted agreement that assesses DigiCert’s financial stability, technical expertise, and experience within the education sector. This streamlined process allows institutions to quickly adopt world-class PKI, TLS, and certificate lifecycle management solutions, saving time, reducing costs, and simplifying administrative procedures.
Peter Atkins, Head of Service Management for Trust & Identity at Jisc, explained that the organization’s goal is to enable the education and research community to use technology in a safe and effective manner.
