Cornerstone adopts Vyntelligence’s AI technology to accelerate tower deployment

06 October 2025

Cornerstone (CTIL), the mobile infrastructure company originally formed through a UK network sharing agreement between O2 (Virgin Media) and Vodafone (Vantage Towers), has announced the adoption of Vyntelligence’s AI-powered Agentic Video Intelligence technology.

This move aims to streamline the deployment of new cell towers and reduce operational costs across its extensive portfolio of over 15,700 sites nationwide.

Following the example set by rural broadband provider Gigaclear, which recently integrated Vyntelligence’s AI solutions to enhance customer installation processes, Cornerstone is now leveraging the technology to expedite tower site delivery, lower audit expenses, and improve safety standards across its infrastructure. The implementation of AI-driven automation is expected to minimize unnecessary work during deployment, thus increasing efficiency.

Andy Train, Cornerstone’s Chief Network Officer, expressed enthusiasm about the innovation, stating that the deployment of Vyn’s Agentic Video AI will provide the company with comprehensive remote visibility of sites and assets. He noted that the technology will facilitate automated self-audits and foster a proactive safety culture, ultimately enabling faster network rollouts and reducing the need for multiple inspection rounds. Train emphasized that this approach would set a new industry benchmark for mobile infrastructure delivery in the UK, ensuring reliable connectivity for users.

The new system allows engineers and contractors to use the Vyn® SmartVideoNotes app on their smartphones to easily record detailed videos illustrating site conditions, work progress, and handover or commissioning activities. Additionally, the technology supports real-time reporting of maintenance needs and issues. Its verticalized Video AI automatically analyzes the quality of work, prompting fieldworkers and remote assurance teams to make quicker decisions, thus accelerating deployment and operational workflows in the field.
