Zen Internet and Sky Business Wholesale to expand connectivity for business customers

18 August 2025

Zen Internet and Sky Business Wholesale have announced a strategic partnership that will grant Zen’s partners and business clients access to Sky’s extensive Ethernet-enabled exchange footprint across the UK. This collaboration aims to enhance high-performance, scalable connectivity solutions for UK businesses.

Under the agreement, Zen can now leverage Sky’s nationwide network, which spans over 2,800 exchanges — more than 80% of which support 10Gb services. This expansion is designed to meet the growing demand for reliable, high-capacity connectivity among business customers, enabling faster deployment and more flexible service options.

Both companies emphasized that this partnership is rooted in long-term growth ambitions, focusing on improving automation and aligning API strategies. The integration is expected to streamline quoting, ordering, and installation processes, thereby delivering faster service and improved operational efficiency for Zen’s channel partners and business customers.

The collaboration builds on Zen’s recent launch of The Fibre Hub, a channel partner portal introduced in May. Through this platform, Zen partners can already access full fibre broadband covering approximately 20 million premises via infrastructure from Openreach, CityFibre, ITS, and Freedom Fibre, with Trooli products slated for addition soon.

With this new deal, Zen will expand its product portfolio to include access to Sky Business Wholesale’s Ethernet-enabled exchange network, offering both standard and 10Gb Ethernet services. This will complement Zen’s existing Ethernet over FTTP and business connectivity products supplied via CityFibre and ITS, providing greater choice for partners and clients.

“This partnership broadens choice and flexibility for our channel and UK businesses, enabling us and our partners to compete more effectively on price, coverage, and service quality. It’s a vital step toward increasing infrastructure competition in the UK market,” said David Barber, Strategy Director at Zen Internet. “As we build relationships with more key network providers, we’re on track to offer the widest geographic coverage and the most advantageous commercial terms for our partners and direct customers.”

This initiative aligns with Zen’s broader goal of delivering better value connectivity and expanding options through The Fibre Hub platform, helping businesses access more diverse and resilient digital infrastructure.

“We’re excited to collaborate with Zen, a company committed to innovation and customer choice. This is just the beginning of a broader partnership that will benefit both our customers and channel partners,” said Damian Saunders, Managing Director at Sky Business Wholesale.
