Following the end of its previous contract, the Council awarded Exponential-e a new three-year agreement to deliver comprehensive infrastructure, network, and security services. A key component of this partnership involves migrating the Council’s IT systems to a Microsoft Azure Cloud environment, creating a fully integrated platform that encompasses network and end-user services.
This upgrade aligns with the Council’s vision to develop a secure, reliable, and adaptable IT estate that fosters innovation and supports effective public service delivery. Data sovereignty was a priority, with a strict requirement for all data to be hosted within the UK. Consequently, data will be migrated to a dedicated IaaS domain featuring a dedicated firewall, managed LAN, Wi-Fi services, and all infrastructure wholly owned by the Council.
Exponential-e will also provide ongoing management and support for over 680 PC and end-user devices, which will be upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11. This will be delivered through a fully managed service desk and professional support team.
“We are thrilled to partner with Havant Borough Council to deliver a modern, future-ready IT environment that enables ongoing innovation. Our expertise in public sector digital transformation ensures the Council will benefit from enhanced security and improved service delivery to residents,” said Afshin Attari, Director of Public Sector and Unified Platforms at Exponential-e.
The contract was signed in February 2025, with implementation beginning in May 2025. The new system is scheduled to go live in July 2025, overlapping with the conclusion of the current contract to ensure a seamless transition.
