Kirklees Council has renewed and expanded its long-standing partnership with Totalmobile, a leader in field service technology, marking a major step in the Council’s digital transformation strategy for housing management.

Under the new agreement, the Homes & Neighbourhoods team will adopt Totalmobile’s cloud-based job management platform to streamline operations and improve experiences for both staff and residents.

Building on more than 15 years of collaboration, this extension underscores a shared commitment to leveraging technology to deliver better public services. The decision to implement the new job management system is part of a broader plan to cut manual processes, increase visibility of ongoing work, and enable faster, more coordinated responses to tenants’ needs.

“This upgrade is about more than system features — it’s about aligning our working practices with the expectations of our tenants,” said David Brook, Head of Housing Operations at Kirklees Council. “We’re confident that Totalmobile will help us improve how we manage our housing stock, engage with residents, and deploy our teams more effectively.”

Replacing the legacy repairs system, the new platform offers a fully integrated, field-first approach to work order management and asset control. Field teams will gain real-time access to information, enabling quicker decision-making, while back-office staff can better prioritize and coordinate resources. For tenants, this means improved communication, shorter turnaround times, and a more responsive service overall.

“Kirklees has always been focused on practical, results-driven innovation. Their decision to adopt our job management solution reflects a clear vision for the future of housing services and a strong understanding of how to achieve it. We’re proud to support them in building upon their operational foundation to deliver even greater value to their communities,” said Chris Hornung, Managing Director of Public Sector at Totalmobile.

This extension signifies an evolution in how Kirklees Council employs technology to meet its strategic goals. With the new system in place, the organization aims to achieve greater consistency, reduce operational costs, and deliver housing services that provide long-term benefits for tenants and staff alike.

The partnership also aligns with Totalmobile’s recent successes across UK local authorities, where demand for housing repair, job, and asset management solutions continues to grow. The launch of Totalmobile’s Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM) solution further strengthens its offering, providing a unified approach to managing housing stock, planned maintenance, and compliance.
