Daisy Group’s Matthew Riley makes his first acquisition since taking the company back into private hands, having founded the business in his garage in 1991.

Damovo has more than 250 customers, which includes some high-profile clients in the aviation, transportation and government sectors.

The company says it is a technology partner of Cisco, Mitel and Microsoft, so its portfolio includes unified communications and collaboration, enterprise networks, contact centres, as well as cloud services and global managed services.

The Daisy leadership team said the acquisition of Damovo fits in with its stated aim of achieving growth in its enterprise base. The company added that it believes it is well-positioned to develop Horsham-based Damovo through its specialist managed services proposition.

Daisy Group founder and executive chairman Matthew Riley says: “This is the first acquisition we have undertaken since Daisy’s privatisation and enhances our capability in the enterprise space. With strong vendor relationships and an expert team in place, the business is well positioned for growth under our ownership.

“The converging world of traditional telecoms and IT continues to present exciting opportunities and with a rapidly expanding cloud and managed services division the acquisition of this highly scalable UK business is a clear strategic fit for the Group.”

Daisy Group is a provider of IT services and unified communications to businesses and was privatised in 2014. The Group provides unified communications across a product portfolio including data, mobile, systems, maintenance and voice, offering an end to end solution for all business communications needs.
