UK Connect has overseen the network transformation of Smart City property development Harrington Place in Woking, providing the connectivity cornerstone for the UK construction industry, and enabling residents at Harrington Place to enjoy reliable, uninterrupted, superfast broadband..png?lu=469)
Built by ThamesWey, Harrington Place covers a 493 square metre area and consists of 148 self-contained flats for rent. Spanning a huge physical space, ThamesWey needed to leverage optimal network connectivity to provide residents with high-speed Internet and drive improvements across the Smart City development.
There were many elements to consider, including ensuring that all the direct smart systems across the entire site were connected within a series of closed networks and able to ‘talk’ to each other. Establishing a closed multi-gigabit mmWave Point-to-Point network with strong, uninterrupted signal, UK Connect’s solution was able to enhance the home experience, offering high speeds of up to 20Gbps.
