TNP joins new YPO purchasing framework

06 November 2020

TNP (The Networking People) has been selected to provide services through the YPO framework for the purchase of network connectivity and telecommunication products and solutions by the public sector, the company said.

YPO is one of the largest public sector purchasing consortiums in the UK supplying schools, colleges and universities, in addition to a broad range of local authority departments and other businesses such as nurseries and care homes.

“Covid-19 has placed a huge burden on the further and higher education sectors, local authorities and other public sector organisations, and increased the pressure on budgets and service infrastructures," said Ian Anderson, solutions architect with TNP. “Within further education, many students are restricted in their movements and increasingly accessing lectures and other course elements direct from laptops, while universities, local authorities and other public sector organisations have expanded facilities for working from home. All of these developments have meant changes to estates strategies, and renewed focus on achieving the optimum performance and security of networks. “TNP has extensive experience in working with public sector bodies and can provide guidance and advice on using the services offered through the procurement framework to cost effectively deliver secure and resilient local and wide area networks, cloud access and cyber security solutions.”

The four year YPO framework agreement is designed to meet the needs of public sector organisations and YPO’s internal requirements. YPO is publicly owned by 13 local authorities and operates a profit share for its public sector customers.
