Vistry Group, the UK’s largest homebuilder, has announced the appointment of UK Connect as its exclusive on-site connectivity provider, marking a major shift in how one of Britain’s leading companies manages its sites, workforce, and technological infrastructure.
The decision follows years of dealing with fragmented and underperforming networks across construction locations, a common challenge in the industry that hampers efficiency, safety compliance, and remote service delivery.
“We required a reliable, scalable, and consistent connectivity platform that gives us control and confidence,” said Ben Rich, Head of IT Service at Vistry.
UK Connect’s Fusion solution promises to deliver on this need by redefining communication services for construction sites, setting a new industry standard.
The construction sector often struggles with complex, unpredictable, and costly connectivity issues. With hundreds of sites across 26 regions, Vistry faced difficulties managing multiple vendors, inconsistent network coverage, limited data plans, and a lack of real-time oversight — problems that are increasingly critical as the company adopts more IoT and cloud-based technologies.
UK Connect’s Fusion, an exclusively offered hybrid WAN service, aims to address these challenges by integrating 5G, fibre, and Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite connectivity into a single intelligent network. The solution guarantees seamless connectivity across all sites, offers unlimited data with no hidden costs or penalties, and provides real-time network visibility. Its smart failover and automatic network switching ensure minimal downtime, while tiered commercial models provide predictable costs, helping the company control expenses.
Earlier this year, UK Connect received recognition for its innovation, winning the ‘Most Innovative Connectivity Solution’ award at the Construction Supplier Innovation Awards 2025. Additionally, Fusion was named Innovation of the Year (Contractor) at the Construction News Specialists Awards 2025.
“Fusion is a strategic network layer designed for the digital construction site of the future,” said PJ Farr, CEO and Founder of UK Connect. “It tackles the core issues of unreliable networks, unexpected bills, and downtime. For IT leaders, it offers full confidence and assurance in maintaining a resilient, future-ready digital estate.”
