Ireland’s largest mobile provider, Three Ireland, has announced the launch of 3Business Broadband Pro, an innovative managed service offering that utilises 5G broadband technology managed through Ericsson’s NetCloud platform, featuring the Ericsson Cradlepoint X10 Router.

This new solution marks a significant advancement in connectivity, delivering enhanced performance, reliability, and scalability tailored to meet diverse business needs across sectors such as retail and remote operations.

Built on Ericsson NetCloud technology, 3Business Broadband Pro provides a unified dashboard that allows businesses to configure, deploy, and monitor network devices across multiple locations remotely, leveraging both 4G and 5G networks from anywhere in the world. The X10 router at the core of this service offers an optional battery backup feature, ensuring continuous connectivity during power outages, such as during storms.

Among its key features, the platform offers high-speed connectivity for seamless upload and download, enabling businesses to operate without interruptions. Its scalability allows organisations to easily adjust their network as they grow, incorporating additional users or sites without major infrastructure changes. Robust security measures, including high-grade encryption and data protection, help maintain customer data privacy and regulatory compliance. Additionally, the platform enables Three’s award-winning customer support team based in Limerick to remotely access and troubleshoot equipment, reducing resolution times for common issues.

“In an era of digital transformation, businesses require solutions that are agile, reliable, and secure. We are proud to introduce 3Business Broadband Pro, which demonstrates our commitment to innovation and supporting our customers’ evolving needs. Leveraging Ericsson’s transformative technology, this platform will revolutionise how businesses manage and control their connectivity and hardware remotely,” said Ciara O’Reilly, Head of Business Product at Three Ireland.

“This partnership with Three Ireland delivers a true enterprise-grade managed 5G broadband service specifically designed for businesses. By combining Ericsson’s advanced wireless solutions with Three’s customer-centric approach, we are enabling connectivity that unlocks new levels of agility, security, and scalability. This innovative platform not only addresses the current technological demands of businesses but also sets the stage for future digital growth and transformation,” said Ross Hockey, Senior Director of EMEA Service Provider Sales at Ericsson.
