Telehouse International Corporation of Europe has officially commenced construction of its new Telehouse West Two data centre at its existing London Docklands campus, renowned as Europe’s most connected data centre hub.
The £275 million project is slated for completion in 2028, with Flynn Management & Contracting Ltd overseeing the construction in partnership with Jones Engineering Group, specialists in mechanical, electrical, and fire protection systems.
Strategically situated near London’s financial district, the new purpose-built facility aims to support the rapid integration of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence. It will feature both air and liquid cooling solutions designed to accommodate high-density compute environments, enabling customers to scale their operations without limitations. The facility will include two meet-me rooms and four dedicated secure connectivity risers, supporting robust interconnectivity needs.
Built with a focus on sustainability, resilience, and security, Telehouse West Two is designed to deliver 99.999% uptime guarantees, ensuring continuous operations for its clients. The data centre aims to achieve BREEAM Excellent environmental standards, highlighting its high performance in sustainability. It will be powered entirely by renewable energy sources, incorporating heat recovery systems and HVO-fuelled backup generators to enhance energy efficiency and reduce carbon footprint.
This new development is a key part of Telehouse’s long-term growth strategy to expand its presence in London, where it has operated for over 35 years. The project underlines the company’s commitment to providing cutting-edge digital infrastructure that meets rising demands for advanced data services and supports enterprise digital transformation efforts across multiple sectors.

The nine-storey building will encompass a total gross area of 32,000 square meters, including 11,292 square meters of white space across six floors dedicated to customer data halls and plant facilities. The design emphasises flexibility, with integrated switchgear, UPS systems, chilled water cooling, and floor-by-floor ventilation to accommodate diverse customer requirements. The site will be supported by two new 132kV substations, providing 11kV power across the wider campus, with an overall capacity of 33MW. Each floor will be capable of delivering up to 4.4MW of power, ensuring resilience and scalability for future growth. Advanced physical security measures, including 24/7 surveillance, on-site security personnel, and real-time threat detection protocols, will safeguard the facility.
