Onestream has reached a major milestone of 150,000 customers after announcing a long-term strategic agreement with APFN to acquire its Cuckoo broadband customer base.
Under the agreement, Cuckoo’s customer contracts, brand and domain will transfer from APFN to Onestream, while all customer connections remain on APFN’s aquila wholesale platform.
Cuckoo customers will benefit from Onestream’s competitive pricing and commitment to excellence in customer service and support.
Onestream will also gain access to a broader full-fibre portfolio, including Openreach, CityFibre and APFN’s own assets – and benefit from the continued development of aquila to enable access to more capabilities and services over time.
Steve Evans, Managing Director of Onestream, said: “I’d like to give a warm welcome to Cuckoo customers as they join Onestream. This acquisition opens up full access to a broader full-fibre portfolio and everything APFN has to offer, while doubling our base to reach 150,000 customers.
“For customers, it means wider access to full-fibre and high-speed broadband throughout the UK, as well as the opportunity to take advantage of our competitive pricing.
“I’d like to thank the Cuckoo team for trusting us to deliver industry-leading excellence to their customers. We look forward to delivering on that promise.”
Onestream, founded in 2016 and based in Whiteley, Hampshire, is one of the UK’s fastest-growing residential internet service providers, with an average of 3,000 customers a month signing up for its services.
