Kepak completes major Microsoft Dynamics 365 rollout to futureproof family-owned food business

Irish family-owned meat producer Kepak has successfully finalized a comprehensive Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O across its UK and Ireland operations, marking a key milestone in its digital transformation journey.

Delivered by Nexer Enterprise Applications, a specialist in Microsoft ERP, CRM, and Power Platform solutions, the project aims to modernize Kepak’s core systems to support continued growth and operational resilience.

Kepak sources meat from thousands of farmers across Ireland and the UK, supplying major retailers like Tesco, Asda, and foodservice giants including Burger King and McDonald’s. Recognizing the need to upgrade from its legacy Dynamics AX 2012 platform, Kepak sought a scalable, integrated solution to unify supply chain, warehouse, and finance processes — ensuring the business remains competitive and agile.

The transition involved consolidating multiple disparate systems across eight Irish and several UK facilities into a single, standardized Dynamics 365 platform. This overhaul introduced a central billing team to streamline invoicing for key accounts, replacing site-by-site processes and creating greater operational efficiency. The new architecture, designed by Nexer’s technical and production architects, guarantees scalability to accommodate future growth and ongoing system enhancements.

With the Irish sites already live and the UK rollout complete, the project is now entering its hyper-care phase, focusing on fine-tuning operations and ensuring smooth post-implementation support.

“This transformation has been a true partnership. Replacing our end-of-life AX system with Dynamics 365 gives us the consistency and agility needed to support our farmers and customers. Nexer’s strategic support was critical to ensuring a smooth implementation as business continued around it,” said Jeremy O’Callahan, CIO of Kepak Group.

“With Kepak, we’ve helped futureproof their supply chain, warehouse, and finance operations through Microsoft Dynamics 365 consolidation. As we move into hyper-care, our focus remains on fine-tuning and ensuring Kepak maximizes the value of its investment across Irish and UK markets,” said Martin Burden, Commercial Director at Nexer Enterprise Applications.
