Kao Data has announced a new customer contract will enable 20i to optimize its managed hosting services through Kao Data’s secure and advanced data centre environment.

By collaborating with Kao Data, 20i aims to enhance its service offerings, including 20i Managed Cloud Services, leveraging Kao’s world-class data centre infrastructure that promises high security, reliability, and diverse connectivity options, including links to all major hyperscale cloud platforms.

Kao Data’s Harlow campus is renowned for its cutting-edge architecture tailored for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and advanced computing workloads. The facility boasts a remarkable track record of 100% uptime and robust security credentials. Hosting its infrastructure at Kao Data will enable 20i to provide faster load times, improved reliability, and increased security for its customers, reinforcing its commitment to operational excellence.

“At 20i, we’re dedicated to continuously improving our services. Partnering with Kao Data allows us to meet and exceed demands for security, performance, and sustainability. By collocating at Kao Data, we’re not only providing our customers with an enhanced digital platform that meets strict performance and data sovereignty requirements but also one that reinforces our commitment to environmental sustainability,” said Lloyd Cobb, Director at 20i.

20i’s dedication to sustainability is reflected in its use of 100% renewable energy to power its cloud and hosting services. The company collaborates with data centres that maintain low Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) ratings, providing an ultra-energy-efficient hosting platform.

Through this deployment at Kao Data, 20i strengthens its green hosting credentials while aligning with one of the UK’s most sustainable data centres. Kao Data’s BREEAM-certified Harlow campus operates entirely on certified renewable energy and utilizes hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) for backup generators, supporting its sustainability goals. The facility also boasts an SLA-backed PUE of less than 1.2, even at partial loads.

“We’re delighted to welcome 20i to our Harlow campus. Their decision to join Kao Data exemplifies our capabilities as one of the UK’s leading providers of high-performance colocation services for AI, cloud, and enterprise. This partnership also underscores the trend of compute workloads migrating from the West of London to the North and East, and we are proud to power their cloud hosting platform sustainably from the heart of the UK Innovation Corridor,” said Spencer Lamb, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Kao Data.
