Highlight has introduced advanced AI-based capabilities to its award-winning SaaS cloud-based network observability platform, launching a new anomaly detection feature that empowers network managers to gain better control over their IT infrastructure across various locations and technologies.

This new AI-driven feature is currently available for public beta to customers who sign up and will be rolled out to all Highlight users by Summer 2025. The anomaly detection capability represents the first of several AI innovations being developed by Highlight Labs, the organization’s dedicated innovation team.

The AI-powered anomaly detection tool utilizes machine learning algorithms to identify unusual or anomalous changes in network traffic and performance, distinguishing these shifts from regular growth patterns and normal traffic fluctuations. Such abrupt changes can be challenging to detect amidst commonplace traffic spikes without continuous monitoring and contextual understanding. By implementing AI-driven detection, organizations can swiftly recognize these changes, thereby maintaining network stability and proactively identifying potential security threats.

“Our upcoming new AI-based services are poised to ensure Highlight remains the tool of choice for the management of essential and high-value communications. By anticipating and identifying anomalous disruptions, providers and enterprise customers can ensure their networks never face IT issues unprepared. This being the first of multiple upcoming AI innovations by Highlight Labs keeps us at the forefront of the AI Ops sector,” said Martin Saunders, COO at Highlight.

The Highlight Service Observability Platform offers a unified, first-pane-of-glass view of various technologies across different vendors. By standardizing network data, Highlight enhances support efficiency, fosters in-depth analysis of network estates, and improves coordination with service providers and external vendors.

Unlike traditional monitoring solutions, which can often be complex and costly, Highlight is designed for rapid deployment and user-friendliness. The platform can be fully operational within minutes, making it an ideal self-service observability tool for businesses of all sizes, from global enterprises to smaller organizations.

With the launch of this AI-powered anomaly detection feature, Highlight is paving the way for enhanced network management and operational insight. As more AI innovations are on the horizon from Highlight Labs, the company remains committed to equipping its users with cutting-edge tools that facilitate efficient and reliable IT operations, ensuring that businesses can navigate the complexities of modern network environments with confidence.
