Epsilon and ESpanix partner to meet growing AI and cloud connectivity demand between Southern Europe and global markets

Epsilon Telecommunications (Epsilon), a global interconnectivity provider, and ESpanix, the connectivity hub in Southern Europe, have partnered to meet the surging demand for flexible, low-latency, and scalable connectivity between the Iberian Peninsula and global markets. The collaboration connects global customers to an ecosystem of high-performance cloud, data centre, and internet exchange network services across the Iberian Peninsula, while extending network reach worldwide through Epsilon’s extensive global backbone. 

ESpanix’s customers in Madrid and Barcelona gain immediate access to Epsilon’s extensive global network footprint, with on-demand connectivity to hundreds of global cloud regions and support for hybrid and multi-cloud architectures. Epsilon’s customers benefit from low-latency access to ESpanix’s carrier-neutral network infrastructure through Epsilon’s on-demand Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) platform, Infiny. This enables organisations to access the Iberian Peninsula’s interconnection ecosystem remotely, eliminating the need to deploy local infrastructure while accelerating time to market.

Together, we are simplifying the complexity of global networking and providing a scalable foundation for the next generation of AI and cloud services.”

The partnership also improves global content delivery performance and enhances business connectivity across continents. Customers can seamlessly provision services and connect to the ESpanix exchange via Epsilon’s Infiny platform. Businesses benefit from ESpanix’s low-latency connectivity within the Iberian Peninsula to support real-time applications, including the surge of AI-driven workloads, cloud-native platforms, and collaboration tools.

ESpanix operates across interconnection, data centre, and value-added services, with its Tier IV compliant data centre in Madrid and extensive Point of Presence (PoP) network located in Madrid and Barcelona. The ecosystem includes a high concentration of internet service providers, carriers, and content networks, enabling direct traffic exchange and reducing reliance on upstream transit providers. Epsilon layers this with automated orchestration and diverse routing options via its global backbone, giving customers a single, robust architecture that spans the globe.
