Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise (ALE), in collaboration with Nokia, has announced the deployment of their joint networking solutions at several high-profile sites, including Ikos Resorts in Greece, Pantai Jerudong Hospital in Brunei, and Wembley Park in the UK.
These deployments are aimed at modernizing and future-proofing campus networks by establishing comprehensive fibre-based LAN infrastructure capable of delivering multi-gigabit data speeds to users.
This achievement marks a significant milestone in the five-year partnership between ALE and Nokia, adding to a portfolio of successful projects such as the Grand Paris Express, Montreal Railways, and Okada Manila Resort. Nokia’s Optical LAN technology provides high-capacity, fiber-based networks designed to support the increasing bandwidth demands of connected devices and applications across large campuses. Integrated into ALE’s enterprise network offerings, this technology offers benefits including reduced energy consumption and lower total cost of ownership.
ALE’s advanced LAN and Wi-Fi solutions offer automation features that enable efficient and secure device onboarding, network asset discovery, classification, virtual segmentation, and continuous monitoring. These solutions include Layer 2 services, PoE (Power over Ethernet), and optional redundant uplinks to ensure high availability and security. By integrating their networking portfolios, ALE and Nokia are well-positioned to address the complex connectivity needs of sectors such as hospitality, where resorts like Ikos use these solutions to connect hundreds of rooms and support services such as guest Wi-Fi, CCTV, voice systems, and building sensors through a unified, resilient network architecture. The fibre infrastructure also helps reduce space requirements and simplifies network layers.
