ABB’s TruFit Power Distribution Unit (PDU) is a premier solution engineered for the UL market, with power capacities ranging from 50-800 kVA.

Its innovative compartmentalised architecture allows for front-only access, simplifying installation, operation, and maintenance — ideal for seamless integration into white space environments. The PDU features a high-efficiency transformer and an integrated comprehensive monitoring system, providing real-time insights into system health and performance.

Designed for flexibility, the 50-300 kVA models step down 480V input to 208/120V and are typically deployed in traditional enterprise data centres. The 400-800 kVA units convert 480V to either 415/240V or 208/120V, suitable for colocation facilities. Models above 850 kVA step down to 415/240V and are primarily used in hyperscale data centres. All configurations can be equipped with sub-feed distribution breakers or 42-pole panelboards for tailored power distribution.

Key features include ABB’s robust SACE Tmax XT circuit breakers ensuring reliable fault interruption, a centralised health monitoring system that combines metering and thermal data, and a compartmentalised design that enhances safety by reducing arc flash exposure. The energy-efficient, DOE 2016-compliant transformers optimise load balancing and maximise utilisation, supporting sustainability and predictive maintenance. For additional details, contact ABB’s technical support or sales team.
